Several materials and techniques have been used for the treatment of atrophic maxilla and for a rehabilitation with implant-supported prostheses it is necessary to carry out procedures to create bone volume, necessary for the installation of implants or, to deviate from this technique, using other tactics, where it will not be used. need to create this bone volume for the installation of implants. This study aims to do a literature review on the main types of treatment for atrophic maxilla, including the All-on-Four technique, zygomatic implants and the need for grafts and/or biomaterials for the installation of the implants, thus discussing their purposes and comparing their techniques for choosing the treatment. Thus, the choice of technique should be guided by several criteria that, associated with a good critical analysis of the available literature, should direct the clinician to satisfactory results.
