Upper canine traction by palatine

Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyze the existing methods of traction of upper canines through the palatal. The permanent canine is the dental element with high importance in the arch for smile, phonetics and proper occlusion. All teeth have an eruption chronology, but this can change during the period of change from the mixed to the permanent dentition due to several factors, such as pathological conditions (cysts and supernumerary teeth), lack of space for the eruption of the element in the arch, and trauma to deciduous teeth, among other factors. After the third molars, the canine is the tooth with the highest prevalence of impaction, most often in the palatal region and with a predominance in females.
