Tooth loss in Brazil is a public health problem with high prevalence and negative impacts on individuals' lives. Oral health is a public health issue, as it determines several aspects of people's quality of life, even surpassing the aesthetic issue. The objective of this article was to discuss some limitations of oral rehabilitation through the All-on-Four technique, using the literature review methodology. This technique, known as 'immediate loading', is performed by placing a fixed prosthesis on two anterior and two posterior implants, in mesial and distally inclined positions, in order to receive masticatory loads. Despite the safety and advantages of the technique, some factors can lead to possible complications, such as prior bone infection, infection of the implant after its installation, called peri-implantitis, implant fracture or breakage, failure in osseointegration, as well as interference arising from systemic diseases. not controlled. Taking a specific postgraduate course in implant dentistry makes the dentist perform a better diagnosis and planning for the execution of the technique, with the least possible intercurrences.
