Abstract

The present study consists of investigating the effectiveness of miniplates as an anchorage device for open bite correction, implanted by orthodontic professionals. Thus, a bibliographic research was carried out, through the selected literature, in order to verify the research in the area and reports on the subject addressed, in addition to analyzing the efficiency of use of mini implants to correct open bite in orthodontics. In this way, it was possible to observe such studies related to the theme of this work and the current updates, understanding the innovative ways of application of the technologies that involve the miniplates. Also, producing a reference material for other researchers in the orthodontic area on the methodologies applied.
