Abstract

Modern dentistry is becoming more and more up-to-date, in endodontics, various equipment and materials have been getting better and better, many models and brands on the market. The use of the apex locator has been widely used and has become an indispensable use, these equipments are sold in several brands and models and can be united in another equipment or alone. Some factors can interfere with its accuracy, making you use other methods together to define the correct odontometry, such as radiographs and computed tomography. Comparisons of locators with radiographs showed equivalent results, and the most diverse interferences can occur.
