To highlight the immediate loading of single implants, presenting its advantages, possible disadvantages and the consensus in the literature on this topic today. The methodology adopted for the proper development of this theme will be the literature review, through a bibliographic survey and a qualitative approach. The first step was the search for studies, through the database of the Virtual Health Library (BVS) and which includes the main scientifically renowned journals and databases around the world. To survey the articles, the following descriptors were used in English, namely: immediate; single-tooth; implantation. After crossing the descriptors and taking into account the previously defined inclusion and exclusion criteria, it was possible to obtain a return sample composed of 309 articles that initially met the adopted criteria. Through a more detailed analysis, we chose to work with 12 articles. It was concluded that single implants with immediate loading currently represent a safe, effective technique with excellent predictability even in the medium and long term, representing an excellent alternative in the rehabilitation of partially edentulous individuals. Furthermore, the materials and techniques currently available allow excellent results to be achieved in the aesthetic area, with perfect synchronization of both soft and hard tissues, in both functional and aesthetic parameters.
