Abstract

There has been a significant increase in adult patients with tooth loss seeking orthodontic treatment. This has led orthodontists the seek more conservative treatment methods. Mesialization and verticalization of teeth has become a treatment option for these patients. By closing spaces in the teeth, they are returning health and aesthetics to these patients. Dental malpositioning due to tooth loss causes numerous harmful effects on the patient’s oral health. There are simple techniques for verticalization and mesialization of molars, but with the emergence of mini implants, advantages have emerged which significantly impact several factors associated with cost, time and treatment. This study aims to present a clinical case report using mini orthodontic implants as na Anchorage alternative for molar verticalization and mesialization.
