To evaluate, through a literary review, the effects of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) on the adhesive cementation of fiberglass pins. There is growing research on the ability of NaOCl to change the composition of dentin and, consequently, its interaction with the type of adhesive and cement system used in cementing intraradicular pins. It is known that: the best irrigation solution for cleaning the channels is still NaOCl; the adhesive systems that present more expressive results in the adhesion of pins are those chemically activated or double activated and; the cements preferably used for the cementation of fiberglass pins are those of the dual type. However, due to the great variation found in the methodologies of the selected articles that made association of these materials, it is considered that it was not possible to reach a precise conclusion on the influence of NaOCl of the adhesive cementation of intraradicular pins. Therefore, more studies of a high standard or with a low bias index are needed for better data complementation.
