In the rehabilitation of endodontically treated elements with great destruction of tissues, the association of intraradicular pins and total crowns was recommended. With the advancement of studies regarding adhesive systems, an alternative to these treatments is the use of adhesive endodontic crowns (endocrowns), which completely covers the dental crown and makes use of the pulp chamber as a mechanical retention device through integration with its remnant by means of adhesive cementation, eliminating the need for the use of retainers and extensive preparations of the conduits, reducing the clinical time and increasing the preservation of the remaining tooth. In addition to presenting excellent aesthetic results, reduced clinical and laboratory time, the literature demonstrates that when this technique can be used, it usually obtains low rates of root fractures in comparison to conventional treatments and more favorable prognosis.
