The increase in body weight combined with retrognathism can contribute to the increase in fat in the subment. The cervical-mandibular contours create a facial and cervical definition that may disappear due to the anterior fatty deposits. The submentonian liposuction procedure is a cosmetic surgery designed to sculpt the chin and the neck region, removing excess fat from the region and bringing better facial harmony. This work reports a clinical case of submental liposuction in a patient with retrognathism and submental fat. After the procedure, it can be seen that a liposuction reduces submental adiposity.
