Abstract

Angle Class III malocclusions are defined by a sagittal relationship between the taken arches. An accurate diagnosis is fundamental for choosing the most appropriate conduct for each case, on an individual basis. From this perspective, this study aims to discuss the relevant literature on Class III treatment with rapid maxillary expansion and Petit Mask. A literature review was then carried out, through the analysis of the information collected that most studies highlighted the need to carry out an early treatment in order to achieve the possible results, since it is a phase where it is possible to have greater control of the craniofacial growth. As a treatment plan, disjunction of the maxilla associated with the use of a face mask has revealed a great discovery for these cases.
