Aesthetics in finalizing orthodontic treatment

The search for the perfect smile is a routine in dental offices, it is recognized as the most important element in the dentofacial context, and in this sense the changes have significant influences on it, such changes can affect the personality, sexuality, emotional stability and behavioral intentions of the individual. harmonious and attractive show health and youth. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt a complex set of characteristics and references. Current Dentistry has carried out a multidisciplinary approach for aesthetic and functional rehabilitation of the smile, being correlated to Orthodontics and Restorative Dentistry, to obtain satisfactory final results. The most notable and satisfying characteristics of the smile are the size, shape and proportionality of the maxillary anterior teeth. The absence of the proper proportion makes it difficult to establish a satisfactory occlusion, a correct alignment and ideal overjet and overbite. This work aims to evaluate the completed orthodontic treatments and analyze which cases need to be finalized with aesthetic treatment.
