Implant dentistry has established itself as one of the most important specialties in dentistry due to its ability to replace teeth in a way that is closest to their natural appearance. With the possibility of replacing teeth in all regions of the arch, different methods and ways of seeking better results for each clinical situation have emerged. Currently, we have a very high demand for aesthetic quality associated with rehabilitation with dental implants. The present study aimed to review the literature in order to seek results on the influence of peri-implant health in partially or completely edentulous patients on the maintenance of implants and quality of prostheses over time.
