Abstract

With the advancement of Dentistry, the search for aesthetics has become increasingly frequent. When a tooth is lost, there are several techniques suggested for the patient's rehabilitation. In relation to dental implants, and to obtain a better result, we will take into account the placement of the implants; the hard and soft tissue of the region used; gingival biotype; the remaining bone and we will also consider the prosthetic aspects. The objective of this study was to describe functional and aesthetic aspects of immediate-load implants, through a literature review. For this purpose, the present work will use scientific articles, books, dissertations and theses as study material, found in databases (SciELO, MEDLINE, LILACS.). According to this literature review, the conclusions were that the most predictable treatment is type 2 installation.
